About Andrew Pereira
I’m a Brooklyn-based saxophonist, composer, and educator with over a decade of professional experience as a performer and teacher. In addition to maintaining an active performing career, I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, musicianship, and a clear practice approach.
My teaching emphasizes long-term growth, musical curiosity, and connecting technique directly to real music.
“My ten year old son has been taking alto sax lessons with Andrew for about a month now. Andrew has the knack for teaching kids - he is patient and encouraging. He emphasizes basics but tries to make learning fun too. I recommend him highly.” - Jon (Brooklyn, NY)
“Andrew is an excellent teacher. He teaches my daughter clarinet and he is very patient and kind but also meticulous and pays attention to details in her performance that they then work on. He is reliable and truly seems to love music and teaching music to children. We are lucky to have found him.” - Leslie (Brooklyn, NY)
